It’s believed that a photograph of the famous Irish ghostly apparition, the Gray Lady, has been captured on film at last. The picture, which shows a ghostlike body hovering above a tree-lined path, was shot at the Dark Hedges in Stranocum, County Antrim, a location recently made famous as King’s Road in the popular HBO series “Game of Thrones”.

It is not believed to be poisonous although it is considered inedible due to its horribly bitter taste.

Pilots of an Airbus 320 received a shock on June 13, 2014 when an “unidentified flying man” zipped across the side of their plane as it was making its landing approach at Manchester Airport in England. Initially the flight crew believed the flying man could have been a paraglider or parachutist but then recognized that he was wearing no aerial equipment as he zoomed past the plane.

Calling it a “sorry testament to the greed of the human race”, rangers found the lifeless body of Suni the white rhino in his hut on a Kenyan wildlife conservancy this week. Suni was 34 years old when he died and was one of only seven northern white rhinos left on the planet. That leaves six white rhinos on Earth, only one of which is a male, so sadly, the countdown to extinction has begun.

The incredible image above was captured by NASA on October 8, 2014 and shows active regions on the sun combined to create the spooky image. The sun’s active regions, a storm of magnetic fields, appear brighter because they are emitting more light and energy.

The stuff of nightmares has hit the streets of Bakersfield, California. Residents of California’s San Joaquin Valley, including the cities of Bakersfield and Wasco, are up in arms over a spate of scary clowns sighted roaming the streets and terrorizing citizens. One call received by Bakersfield police reported a clown in a residential area with a firearm. This follows a week’s worth of sightings of scary clowns that are causing a stir in the area.

An anonymous couple came forward this week with an amazing set of five crystal-clear photos of a daytime disc-shaped UFO taken sometime between 1961 and 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The man and his wife were going through old personal belongings when they discovered a 50-year-old photo album belonging to his wife’s grandmother. The wife recognized the photos as pictures taken around the time she was born (1962) when her grandfather was a Captain in the United States Air Force and stationed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She recalled the family living in Albuquerque from 1961 through 1965.

Microcephaly bestows upon the person an abnormally small head (often only half the size of a normal head) and sloping forehead. Known as “chaus”, “rat people” or “pinheads”, the condition almost always results in mental retardation and diminished brain capacity. The cause of the condition varies. Sometimes it can be caused when a child’s mother consumes excessive alcohol. There is no cure.

New university research study supplies evidence of "life after death" in near-death experiences

University of Southampton researchers have completed the largest ever medical study of near-death experiences (NDEs) and out-of-body experiences (OBEs). From a four-year study of more than 2,000 people at 15 hospitals throughout the United Kingdom, United States, and Austria who “died” from cardiac arrests and were resuscitated, they found that nearly 40 percent of people experienced some sort of “awareness” during the time they were clinically dead and before they were revived. The study is groundbreaking in that it disproves the suggestion that such events are hallucinations or illusions occurring while the person is technically “alive”.

You can usually tell if a shark is hungry by, well, let’s face it – if they’re breathing, they are hungry. But they usually don’t attack each other. In the video below, two sharks go at each other off the coast of Neptune Island in Australia. It’s hard to tell if they purposely attacked each other or accidentally locked jaws while going after the same piece of bait but in the end, the result is the same – we end up with two sharks embraced in some sort of weird, angry kiss.

Singer Anne-Maria Hefele can sing two notes at the same time and the result is nothing short of amazing (Reeko says eerie). The otherworldly sounds (Reeko calls them creepy) that she makes are created by moving the fundamental and overtones in opposite directions. Pacific walrus are looking for sea ice in Arctic waters and finding that available ice is now much harder to come by. The walrus seek the sea ice to rest on. When they cannot find sea ice, they take the next best thing – an empty beach. In the photo above, an estimated 35,000 walrus beached themselves on a beach north of Point Lay in Alaska after being unable to find an ice sheet to rest upon.

Scientists say we are now consuming the ecological goods of one-and-a-half Earths and if we don’t slow down, there will be nothing left to sustain us. According to a new report, wildlife populations have been cut in half over the past 40 years. More specifically, 39 percent of wildlife on land, 39 percent of wildlife in the ocean and 76 percent of freshwater wildlife have disappeared over the last 40 years. Those are scary numbers.
